Our story
Founded by Roy Hogarth back in 2010, the company was previously known as Footyflyers, but has since evolved from working with sport and mentoring to Roy’s Therapy, which utilises fitness and therapy techniques to improve the physical and mental health of children and adults alike.
Meet the Founder
Roy has coached within the East Midlands over the past 25 years for men and women’s senior teams as well as junior football teams. He also held position as coach for the Nottingham Forest development centre for nine years. His work with the Nottingham Unity football and education programme, which supported young people involved in gang and weapon crimes, contributed towards the project being awarded the Power of Sport award at the East Midlands Sports Personality Awards in December 2009.
Roy was also the lead coach for the National Citizenship Scheme (NCS), for Catch 22, which works with 15-17 year olds on a six-week programme. In that time, he helped mentor and coach the young people life skills as well as helping them attain the sports courses we facilitate and some partners locally coach including cricket, tennis and athletics.
In 2012 Roy expanded his services to helping individuals using therapy by attaining counselling qualifications which, alongside his youth work experience, has enabled him to work with young people and families to reach a positive outcome from the variety of issues that people face day to day.

- Derbyshire County Council
- Multi Agencies Team (MAT) in Swadlincote and Etwell delivering mentoring, Sports Leaders Level 1 and a summer programme
- Connexions
- Local councillors and local police.
In 2011, Roy coordinated the Sports Mentoring program for the South Derbyshire Schools Partners which is proving to be a huge success.
